BEST OF JAMAICA
Best of Jamaica is now in its tenth (10th) year and is the signature Event at Breezes Resort Spa and Golf Club Runaway Bay. Over the years with increasing publicity and media exposures, it has without doubt positioned itself to be the best social activity of its kind in any hotels in Jamaica.
The Event fuses the culture and heritage of several countries and their influence on Jamaica’s own unique culture and heritage encompassing not only culinary delights but also dance, music and folklore. The main countries to be featured as influences to Jamaica over the centuries include Spain, France, England, India, Japan and China. Certain aspects of African influence will also be featured this year.
Activities will also include cooking demonstrations and lessons, such as, how to make tamarind balls or a sorrel drink, how to cook Ackee and Saltfish as well as preparation of other International dishes.
