GRILL OFF JAMAICA TEAM IN KANSAS
Within just three years on the local culinary circuit, The All Jamaica Grill Off T/A Jam-B-Que Ltd. has already advanced to the international grilling arena with its debut in 2009 at the world’s largest and most prestigious invitational grilling competition: The American Royal Barbeque, held annually in Kansas City, Missouri.
The season finale of the American Competitive Barbeque Circuit, the American Royal spreads over 20 acres in Kansas City’s historic Stockyards District, attracting 70,000+ barbeque buffs annually to a virtual explosion of sizzling sights and savory samplings of the best of the grill.
Joining nearly 500 international grilling teams competing in four culinary contests, Team Jamaica took Kansas City by storm as the first English speaking Caribbean country to be invited to this prestigious event, establishing Jamaica as a viable brand in the American culinary and product export arena and endearing many to our traditional excellence in Hospitality.
Team Jamaica’s presence at the previous stagings of the American Royal Barbecue earned coverage from local NBC and CBS television affiliates and local newspapers plus mentions on CNN. Jamaica can be proud of our achievements in the two year Team Jamaica has taken part in this stellar event and the impact we have made on the North American BBQ circuit.
