The inaugural staging of the World Athletics Awards will take place in Negril. All 12,000 voting members of AIPS (International Sports Press Association) affiliated media houses will be able to vote on the recipients of the various awards.
Leading athletes from the past and present, as well as, celebrities will be amongst the persons receiving the awards. Lennox Lewis, Dwight York, Courtney Walsh, Carl Lewis amongst other celebrities will be presenting the awards.
